1977.5-79 F250 4wd trucks have two small front leaf spring brackets, one on each front frame horn. This replaces those two brackets and give you a crossmember similar to that of highbot trucks. It has the spring eylet holes in the original location. This front leaf spring bracket lets you add a winch, LED lights, and shackle tabs. It is made of 1/4" steel and is quite heavy. There are two shackle tabs welded on the front sides of this bracket for adding shackles.
These brackets will not work with camper special models that have the large radiator hanging below the bottom of the frame.
Shackles and lights are NOT included. Hardware is included.
This works with all original 1970's front axles. It does NOT work with Super Duty axles which are wider.
These brackets are sandblasted and powdercoated satin black for an exceptional finish. These are mostly formed (bent) with minimal welding and overall have a high end appearance.
There are 3 vertical mounting holes on each side of this bracket. The forwardmost holes are shared in common with oem mounting holes. The other 2 per side (4 total) need drilled with a 1/2" drill bit. Then two angle brackets are included which allow this bracket to tie into the original horizontal bolt hole location- no drilling is required for those.
