This is a new upper steering column bearing for 1973-77 Ford F100. F150, F250, and F350 applications. It may fit others, but so far we have not tested.
This is a revised designed and is different from original. The original bearings had small outside diamters and had a rubber piece between the bearing and column (see pictures). This bearing has a larger outside diameter and does away with that rubber piece. It also has a slightly larger length than an original bearing (the new length being about equal to the length of the original bearing's rubber sleeve). This gives you a sturdier bearing that doesn't rely on a 50 year rubber old bushing.
These come in two inside diameter variations. The steering shafts were all 0.75" outside diamter from the factory and therefore these bearings come in 0.75" inside diameter. Some steering shafts seem be to work from contact with the origian bearing. These bearings come in an optional 0.74" inside diamter to solve this worn out condition. The .74" option may require you do a little sanding to be able to slide the bearing on, but a snug fit is a lot better than a loose bearing that rattles around. Worn shafts usually look worn and can be verified by measuring with calipers.
