This is a complete bolt in kit designed to work on 1957 to 1962 Ford medium duty F600- and likely similar model- trucks that gives you a modern firewall mounted Super Duty 11" dual diaphragm power brake booster and 1.5" bore master cylinder. This does away with the brake slave system and under mountd booster. This kit installs in about an hour and requires no cutting or permanent modification. It works with your existing brake pedal. This is meant to work with F600 applications having a factory firewall mounted master cylinder held on by 4 bolts with a 2.375" by 3.5" pattern and without any firewall clutch slave cylinder. A clutch slave cylinder will likely interferce with this booster. The F6HB4 kit has a hydroboost unit and solves this clearance issue.
This setup puts out about 1600 psi as well as a large amount of fluid volume and is a great match for medium duty drum brakes. This brake booster is a whopping 11" dual diaphragm. That's about as big as they get. With medium duty applications, valve cover clearance is not an isuse.
For the brake line routing, you need to run two new lines (usually 1/4") from the new master cylinder down to a proportioning valve. The valve can be anywhere, but on the frame near the factory junction block is most convenient. Then the valve outputs get connected to each of the two existing circuits that feed each of the front/rear axles. This way you separate out two circuits and you reuse as much of the existing lines as possible. Brake lines and proportioning valve are not included.
